Investing in People through Sustainable and Inclusive EU Programmes

« On 5th April, 27 major European stakeholders in education, training and youth adopted a common position paper on their vision for the future of EU programmes in the area. Entitled “Investing in People through Sustainable and Inclusive EU Programmes”, the paper proposes a general vision for the future, as well as 4 steps towards more effective programmes. The paper states that, although current programmes benefit from wide recognition, their impact remains limited due to insufficient resources. If Europe intends to reach the objectives of the EU 2020 Strategy, investing in young people should be a top priority. »
